Kick-Starting Movies: “Call Girl of Cthulhu”- a Lovecraft-inspired horror feature

A new segment which has been introduced on The Movie Guide Blog is “Kick-Starting Movies”, these articles are for the films that are trying to raise funding for the development of their films.

The first film which we’re going to feature is Call Girl of Cthulhu”- a Lovecraft-inspired horror;
What is Call Girl of Cthulhu?
CALL GIRL OF CTHULHU, She’s turning wet dreams… into NIGHTMARES.
A virginal artist falls in love with a call girl who turns out to be the chosen bride of the alien god Cthulhu. To save her, he must stop an ancient cult from summoning their God and destroying mankind.  Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, “Call Girl of Cthulhu” is the result of months of research, aiming to create a gory, fun homage to the master of horror.   The entire screenplay is one giant Easter Egg for Lovecraft fans. With endless slimy monsters, an ancient cult, and a healthy dose of T & A (tentacles and ass), we’re going to need our biggest budget yet.

If our Kickstarter campaign is successful, “Call Girl of Cthulhu” will be the sixth feature film from our Baltimore based production company, Midnight Crew Studios.

So who is making the Call Girl of Cthulhu?
As you saw in the video, we’re Chris LaMartina & Jimmy George. Fake blood brothers. Together we’ve produced four feature length horror flicks.  Our most recent films, “President’s Day” and “Witch’s Brew” tore up the festival circuit, playing Fargo Fantastic Fest, Fuel the Fear Fest, Killer Film Fest (winning “Best Feature” and “Best Screenplay”), Oklahoma Horror Film Festival, San Diego Horror Film Festival, and Chris LaMartina, left and Jimmy George, rightSynerfest (winning “Best Feature”)

“Witch’s Brew” will be released through Media Blasters this August. “President’s Day” will be released early next year through Spy Global Media. Check out BLOOD, SWEAT, & BEERS: the Making of “Witch’s Brew”:

Where the Money does goes Towards on the Call Girl of Cthulhu?
“Call Girl of Cthulhu” will be our most ambitious production yet. There are more special effects in this film than any of our previous films.  In order to achieve these effects, we’re going to need the largest budget we’ve ever worked with.
If you want to see “Call Girl of Cthulhu” become a reality, please make a pledge and help us reach our goal of $25,000.
